Wood Products Marketing Manager

Weyerhaeuser · Seattle, WA · 3 days ago
$99k–$148k/yrFull-time

About the role

We are a newly integrated enterprise marketing and communications team looking for a talented marketing professional to help grow and elevate marketing efforts across our Wood Products business. We're dedicated professionals who care deeply about our work, our company, and the customers and communities we serve. We work together to solve complex challenges and strive for excellence in everything we do. We are equal parts creativity, precision, adaptability and drive, and we strive to have fun every day. We focus on solving problems rather than finding them, and we try to listen more than we talk. We're looking for someone who can step in and help us elevate our marketing strategy and execution from Day 1.

This position is an individual contributor role and will be based at our Seattle Headquarters, reporting to the senior marketing manager of Wood Products. The role operates under our hybrid Flexible Work Policy, which requires employees to be in the office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and allows for remote work on Monday and Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Marketing strategy and execution: Develop and implement integrated marketing strategies across various channels to increase brand awareness, generate customer demand and support growth initiatives within our Wood Products business, with a focus on our Distribution portfolio of manufactured and third-party specialty building products.
  • Business partnership: Work closely with product management, sales and other cross-functional teams to understand their business objectives and ensure marketing activities and messaging are aligned and effective.
  • Content and campaign management: Oversee the creation, deployment and optimization of marketing content, campaigns, promotions and events in partnership with key business stakeholders.
  • Vendor and budget management: Manage vendor relationships and related budgets for complex marketing projects and programs, including partnering with procurement on RFPs and ensuring work is delivered on time and meets requirements.
  • Research and insights: Conduct research to inform marketing strategies and metrics, track performance on marketing activities campaigns, translate data into business impact and adjust strategies and tactics to improve results over time.
  • Creative and corporate marketing support: Support a variety of marketing-related projects at the corporate level, such as coordinating photo shoots, video production, presentation development and other creative projects, as needed.
  • Brand alignment: Ensure brand quality and consistency across all marketing communications and customer-facing materials.
  • Enterprise marketing engagement: Support the senior marketing manager and Enterprise Marketing and Communications team in executing the company's broader communications, marketing and reputation management strategy.
  • Relationship building: Build and maintain strong relationships with Weyerhaeuser leaders and employees across the company, including participation on internal teams and cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 to 8 years of marketing experience, including significant experience creating and deploying marketing campaigns and customer-facing promotions.
  • Demonstrated experience with customer relationship management (CRM) platforms, digital and social media strategy, marketing automation, data-driven decision-making and performance improvement.
  • Excellent writing, editing and communication skills that strengthen brand visibility, enhance market presence and drive audience engagement.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with designers and manage complex design projects to ensure brand consistency, stakeholder and outcome alignment, clarity and effectiveness.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, is preferred.
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations, with the ability to engage a variety of stakeholders and audiences.
  • Previous experience in forestry, building products, manufacturing, distribution or a related industry is welcome but not required.
  • Integrity, initiative, authenticity, humility, humor, good judgment, drive, flexibility, curiosity and great listening skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business or a related field.
  • Occasional travel will be required.
