Wood Production - 1st Shift

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work in different production areas as needed and follow the schedule and tasks assigned by your supervisor.
• Work well as part of a team and learn and retain on-the-job training as you build your skills.
• Notify your supervisor right away of any equipment or material issues and keep your work area clean and safe.
• Follow all Northern Contours policies and procedures, track your production against the schedule provided, and take on other related duties as assigned.

Experience/Skills

• No prior production experience is required — we'll train you on the job.
• You should be comfortable with basic math and willing to learn how to use simple handheld measuring tools.
• A good attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn matter more than experience.

Working Environment

• Manufacturing environment which requires precaution, training and safety equipment (including safety glasses, ear plugs, closed toe shoes, gloves, etc.).
• Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts while performing job.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to move and handle products without damage to the product.
• Must be able to perform repetitive tasks while staying focused.
• Must be able to stand for eight (8) hours or more per day, with bending and twisting.
• Must be able to lift, push or pull up to fifty (50) lbs.
• Must be able to use hands and fingers, to handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
• Must be able to walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear.
