Women's Health Services Clinical Assistant (CNA) - Prenatal Clinic
Location: Windham Community Memorial Hospital (Willimantic, CT). Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour days (40 hours per week) in the Prenatal clinic.
About the role
Under the direct supervision of the Practice Coordinator or designee, the Women’s Health Services Clinical Assistant supports the Coordinator in delivering direct patient care. You will assist with patient intake, procedures, exam-room setup and breakdown (including equipment cleaning), document vital signs, and relay findings to the Coordinator. Clerical duties include answering phones, retrieving information for patients, and maintaining a positive patient experience. You will also manage unit supplies, track inventory and expiration dates, collect and label specimens, and transport them to the lab. Additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Active State of Connecticut Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- BLS certification required (may complete within first three months of employment)
- Bilingual Spanish–English skills preferred
