Women's Health Nurse Practitioner- Full Time

Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) – Full-Time Saint James Health | Newark, New Jersey Saint James Health, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving the Newark community, is seeking a full-time Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) to join our growing Women's Health team. This position is ideal for a provider who is passionate about delivering high-quality, culturally responsive care to women throughout the lifespan. The WHNP will provide both obstetric and gynecologic care, including prenatal care, routine GYN services, preventive screenings, and evaluation and treatment of sexually transmitted infections. Schedule Full-time, 4-day work week10-hour shiftsProvides a consistent weekday off while maintaining full-time status Responsibilities Provide prenatal care and management of OB patients within the scope of Saint James Health's outpatient servicesPerform routine gynecologic and preventive careConduct annual well-woman examinationsPerform Pap smears and cervical cancer screeningsProvide breast health screenings and educationEvaluate and treat common gynecologic conditionsProvide contraception counseling and reproductive health educationScreen, diagnose, and treat sexually transmitted infections (STIs/STDs)Provide HIV and STI prevention education and counselingOrder and interpret appropriate laboratory and diagnostic testingEducate patients regarding pregnancy, reproductive health, preventive care, and healthy lifestylesCoordinate referrals and collaborate with OB/GYN physicians and hospital partners when higher-level or specialty care is requiredMaintain timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical recordWork collaboratively with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, behavioral health providers, case managers, and other members of the care teamParticipate in quality improvement initiatives focused on women's health and preventive care Qualifications Current New Jersey Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) license or eligibility for New Jersey licensureGraduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner programWomen's Health Nurse Practitioner certification strongly preferredCurrent national board certificationCurrent DEA and CDS registration, or eligibility to obtainCurrent BLS certificationExperience providing OB/GYN or women's health services preferredStrong clinical assessment, communication, and patient education skillsCommitment to providing compassionate, culturally responsive care to a diverse patient populationBilingual English/Spanish is a plus Why Join Saint James Health?
