Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed personal sales goals while providing a great customer experience
- Be knowledgeable about location, price, and use of merchandise
- Follow instructions for specific requests from customers, ensuring safety requirements are met
- Analyze reports and make decisions about inventory, merchandise arrangement, and sales trends
- Stock shelves, tables, and counters with merchandise according to Scheels standards
- Set up advertising, signs, and merchandise to promote sales
- Communicate professionally with vendors and/or outside sales representatives
- Train associates on the proper use and basic knowledge of merchandise
- Prepare for and facilitate required product knowledge and sales meetings as directed
- Attend weekly required sales and product knowledge training meetings
- Be professional in appearance and attitude, contributing to a positive team atmosphere and treating others with respect and consideration
- Promote the Scheels Visa Rewards card and clearly explain all benefits

- Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation. Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, or general education degree (GED), 1-3 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay
$24.50 minimum starting per hour (combination of hourly pay and commission)
Schedule
SCHEELS scheduling expectation is to be flexible to work their assigned schedule between 9:00am and 9:00pm Monday through Friday, 9:00am and 8:00pm on Saturday and 10:00am and 6:00pm on Sundays. Schedules may include varied hours, evenings, weekends and holidays based on store needs. Full Time Sales Specialists must be available to work 40 hours a week. This position requires evenings, weekends and Product Knowledge meetings as scheduled.
