Job Description
The DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines and automating infrastructure management. The position requires creating and maintaining environment-specific Kubernetes configuration packages with STIG-aligned hardening and RBAC enforcement. Engineers will implement secrets injection strategies using FedRAMP-compliant tools (AWS Secrets Manager, Azure Key Vault). The role includes integrating CI/CD pipelines for secure automated deployment and rollback of ArcGIS components.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in DevOps engineering.
- Demonstrated experience in deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters.
- Automating cloud infrastructure.
- Implementing secure, high-availability CI/CD pipelines.
- Working with microservices architecture and service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).
- Utilizing observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
Required Skills and Competencies
- Expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, AWS CodePipeline).
- Working knowledge of microservices architecture and service mesh technologies.
- Proficiency in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and security best practices.
- Strong understanding of monitoring/logging solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Ability to implement STIG-aligned hardening and RBAC enforcement.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) (Preferred, Not Required)
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional (Preferred, Not Required)
- MICROSOFT Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (Preferred, Not Required)
Clearance Requirement
No clearance required for off-site duty location, or the ability to obtain and maintain the required clearance as specified by the program.
