WMHS Internship

Overview

The WMHS Internship Program aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of hotel operations through guided observation, mentorship, and leadership exposure across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Shadow department leaders and team members across key areas, such as Front Desk, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Sales & Marketing, and Human Resources.
• Participate in structured training and learning sessions led by operational subject matter experts.
• Develop an understanding of how individual roles and departments contribute to overall hotel performance.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with hospitality leaders and team members.
• Communicate regularly with leadership, including participation in weekly check-ins.
• Attend and actively listen in training sessions and departmental meetings.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in West Mecklenburg and eligible for internship programs.
• Ability to communicate in the English language.
• Availability to intern for up to 120 hours.
