Wiring Technician - 1st Shift

About the role

The Wiring Technician is responsible for point-to-point wiring of various electrical components within our electrical products. You will reference wiring diagrams (blueprints) and utilize hand tools to prepare wire, crimp, and connect wire to terminals. You’ll be challenged to be creative to provide clean, quality lines that our customers expect.

Responsibilities

• Measure and prepare wire bundles for installation
• Reference wiring diagrams to establish proper connections
• Use hand tools to tighten and prepare wire and complete final installation
• Present clean crisp lines on all wiring in alignment with established guidelines
• Be willing to learn and assist other departments as necessary
• Perform other tasks as requested and be flexible to move to other areas

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution
• No immigration sponsorship or support (Eaton will not consider applicants requiring CPT, OPT, STEM OPT, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.)
• No relocation benefit offered
• Only candidates within a 50‑mile radius of Omaha, NE will be considered (Active‑Duty Military Service members exempt from this geographic limitation)
• Able to stand, climb, and utilize ladders for up to 8 hours a day
