About the role

We are seeking a skilled Wire Saw and Sand Operator to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Operate a large sander and CNC wire saw to cut and produce a variety of media sectors based on our production schedule.
• Verify that all media is within spec based on blueprints and perform quality checks before moving material to the next process.
• Maintain area, equipment, and tools in neat, orderly condition.
• Report any problems, difficulties, or unusual circumstances immediately to the supervisor.
• Observe all company policies, rules, and regulations including good housekeeping, safety, and security.
• Perform safety inspections on cranes at the start of shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned or directed.

Requirements

• Must be able to read and understand prints.
• Ability to use calipers and other measuring devices.
• Some computer skills required.
• Strong communications/interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and driven.
• Detail-oriented.
• Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions.
• Willingness to cross-train in other areas within the Wheel Plant.

Physical Requirements

• Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting.
• The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.
• The worker is occasionally exposed to adverse environmental conditions.

Pay

$24.03/hr. - $30.39/hr.

Schedule

Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
