Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Wire EDM/Vollmer machines (FANUC/Sodick) to produce high-precision components
- Perform PCD and carbide cutting
- Monitor machine performance, make adjustments as needed, and troubleshoot issues to ensure continuous production
- Load and unload work pieces, install and align tooling, and perform necessary machine adjustments
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for Wire EDM/Vollmer machines (FANUC/Sodick) based on engineering drawings and specifications
- Make necessary adjustments to maintain tight tolerances and high-quality standards
- Conduct routine maintenance on Wire EDM/Vollmer machines (FANUC/Sodick) to ensure optimal performance
- Identify and report any equipment issues to maintenance staff for timely resolution
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Wire EDM Operator/Programmer in a manufacturing environment (1+ years), specifically with FANUC/Sodick
- Knowledge of machine shop practices, techniques, and operations
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to follow directions
- Basic math, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
