Position Summary The Wire EDM & Conventional Programmer / Operator is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating Wire EDM and conventional machining equipment to manufacture precision tooling and components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications. This position also supports Tool Room operations by manufacturing, modifying, repairing, and maintaining tooling, fixtures, and production aids while meeting established quality, safety, and productivity requirements. Key Responsibilities Wire EDM Programming & Operation Program, set up, and operate Wire EDM machines to produce complex, high-precision components.Develop, edit, and optimize programs using CAM software or machine controls.Set up workpieces, fixtures, wire guides, and consumables.Select appropriate wire type, power settings, and cutting parameters.Perform skim cuts and finishing operations to achieve tight tolerance and required surface finishes.Monitor cutting conditions and troubleshoot machine or process issues. Conventional EDM & Machining Program, set up, and operate conventional EDM equipment.Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T symbols, and manufacturing documentation.Select proper tooling, fixtures, speeds, feeds, and machining parameters.Perform in-process inspections and adjust offsets or processes to maintain dimensional accuracy. Inspection, Maintenance & Team Support Inspect completed parts using calipers, micrometers, indicators, height gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and documented work instructions.Work collaboratively with Engineering, Tooling, Manufacturing, and Quality personnel.Support continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives.
