Winthrop Grade School serves 375 students in PreK through fifth grade in central Maine. The Grade School Principal provides instructional leadership to staff, including curriculum planning, review, and implementation, and professional development. This role also includes responsibilities for building administration and ensuring the safety and welfare of students and staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum of master’s degree
• Maine principal certification (040)
• At least five years combined successful experience in teaching and administration
• Experience with staff support, supervision, and evaluation
• A commitment to improving student learning, fostering a positive school climate, and working collaboratively with school staff
• The knowledge and skills to be a contributing member of the district administrative team
