About the role
Winter Plan 2026-2027 assignment available on the following dates:
- 9/21/26 – 2/20/27
- 10/5/26 – 3/6/27
- 11/2/26 – 4/3/27
Responsibilities
- Utilize education, experience and analytical judgment to provide the most accurate possible specimen assay results.
- Examine and perform tests on various specimen types to provide patient management information to clinicians in Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Transfusion Service and Specimen Processing.
- May be trained in all or selected areas dependent on laboratory needs.
- Adhere to Laboratory and Corporate Compliance Plans as outlined by the OIG and HCFA.
Requirements
- 12 hours per week on day shift.
- New Hire/Patient Care Orientation completion.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution, or completed the requirements for the AMT or HEW certification.
- At least one year of laboratory training or experience, or both, in high complexity testing is preferred.
Certification/Licensure
- Must be MT (ASCP), MT (AMT), or MT (HEW), or equivalent registered or eligible.
- MT (ASCP) preferred.
Pay
$43.00/hr plus shift differentials. Completion bonus at the end of the assignment if all hours/requirements have been met.
