Winter 26/27: Retail Merchandise Assistant

About the role

The Retail Merchandise Assistant works along with the Copper Retail Group Manager, Retail Buyer, the retail warehouse, and all retail location managers and staff at Copper Mountain. This position assists the buyers with all merchandising and inventory control duties at Copper-owned retail facilities.

Responsibilities

• Creating professionally presented product displays
• Maintaining store merchandise plans with appropriate product-mix
• Maintaining adequate stock levels in all retail locations
• Creating weekly inventory replenishment requests from the warehouse for all locations
• Following a set weekly schedule consisting of visits to each retail location and the retail warehouse
• Facilitating the flow of inventory as it moves from the warehouse to retail locations and between retail locations to maximize sales
• Limiting loss prevention through monitoring product location in stores and conducting frequent physical inventory cycle counts
• Spending the bulk of time at the busiest location, Camp Hale Outfitters, while also being needed in the East, West, and WHS locations at least one day each week
• Working at all retail locations serving guests by answering questions and completing sales of soft‑goods, accessories, and hard‑goods
• Helping with fulfillment and management of online store orders and inventory
• Working in the warehouse when needed during busy volume times
• Working in retail locations on the sales floor during the summer months
