Winter 2027 Tax Internship
Prosperity Partners (“Prosperity”) is a Chicago-headquartered public accounting firm offering best-in-class tax, accounting, and personal finance services to dynamic businesses, high-net-worth individuals, and family offices. With offices throughout the United States, we are seeking part-time tax interns for Winter 2027 to support our growing tax practice.
About the role
Candidates will work directly with managers and associates to perform a variety of tasks in a flexible and stimulating work environment. Interns who demonstrate hard work, enthusiasm, and ethical behavior may have opportunities for continuous employment with the firm. Due to the collaborative nature of our work, employees are expected to be in the office.
Responsibilities
- Prepare business, individual, and trust income tax returns
- Research and analyze complex tax issues
- Respond to routine tax notices
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited four-year university or graduate program, with a major or focus declared in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related business field
- Minimum basic coursework completed in their declared field, with a minimum GPA of 3.5
- Minimum commitment of 20 hours per week on-site beginning January 2027
- A demonstrable interest in tax with related job or classroom experience
- Proven understanding of transactional accounting and entries
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic and understanding of accounting principles
- Exceptional leadership qualities and client service skills
Pay
Hourly pay range: $20 USD – $30 USD
Schedule
Part-time, minimum 20 hours per week on-site.
