WinField United Research & Development Lab Intern, Summer 2027

About the role

Land O’Lakes is a Fortune 250 farmer‑ and member‑owned cooperative with business units spanning crop insight and inputs, animal nutrition, dairy foods, and sustainability solutions. The Research & Development Lab Intern position is based at the WinField United Innovation Center in River Falls, Wisconsin, and supports the chemistry, biological, phenotyping, and controlled‑environment laboratories within the Product Development group. Interns will gain hands‑on experience in agricultural research, product development, and applied science while working on business‑critical projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials and experimental treatments for research trials.
• Operate research equipment in greenhouse, growth chamber, chemistry, and laboratory settings.
• Conduct laboratory and greenhouse procedures, including handling crop‑protection products safely.
• Collect and analyze experimental data.
• Support development and validation of new and existing WinField United products such as adjuvants, herbicides, seed treatments, and plant growth regulators.

Requirements

• Undergraduate sophomore (preferred) or junior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, horticulture, plant science, plant pathology, or a related field.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Pay

Interns are paid $25.00 per hour.
