This position will be filled at either the Computing System Professional 1/2 level, depending on the skills of the selected candidate.

About the role

The successful candidate will administer Windows systems across unclassified and enclave networks, including Active Directory management, server maintenance, and end user support. The role includes supporting the Utilities and Institutional Facilities organization that has several control systems such as building automation systems (BAS), equipment surveillance systems (ESS), and waste and water systems located at various locations across the lab.

Responsibilities

  • Administer Windows systems across unclassified and enclave networks, including Active Directory management, server maintenance, and end user support.

Requirements

  • Installing, configuring and troubleshooting virtual and physical servers.
  • Ability to troubleshoot user issues through on-site and remote support.
  • Setting up and installing software.
  • Monitoring applications for device downtime and responding to unresponsive devices.
  • Communicating technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.

Qualifications

  • Education/Experience at lower level: Position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combinations of education and experience.
  • Education/Experience at higher level: Position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of four years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills

  • Desired Skills: VMWare vSphere administration and implementation skills, Advanced vendor certification (Microsoft Windows, Networking, SCADA systems).

Pay

  • Computing Systems Professional 1: $72,800 - $115,400
  • Computing Systems Professional 2: $87,800 - $143,000

Schedule

  • The work location for this position is hybrid and is located in Los Alamos, NM. Hybrid is defined as working partially onsite/partially offsite but within 2 hours ground commute of this location.

The position commitment for this position is 1 Year.

  • Directive 206.2 - Employment with Triad requires a favorable decision by NNSA indicating employee is suitable under NNSA Supplemental Directive 206.2.
  • New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
