About the role

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Windows Platform Engineer to support a company focused on enterprise IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and network operations within a large-scale Department of Defense environment. This position is 100% onsite in Norfolk, VA, Honolulu, HI, or San Diego, CA. The Windows Platform Engineer will support the administration, security, compliance, and reliability of enterprise Windows Server environments. Responsibilities

• Perform Windows Server patching, vulnerability remediation, and security compliance activities across enterprise environments.
• Build, configure, administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 systems.
• Support the full infrastructure lifecycle, including installation, configuration, monitoring, upgrades, maintenance, and decommissioning.
• Execute STIG remediation activities and ensure systems maintain compliance with security and operational standards.
• Collaborate with internal technical teams, customers, subcontractors, and vendors to resolve issues and improve system reliability and security.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience supporting Windows Server environments, enterprise infrastructure, or systems administration.
• Experience with Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022, patch management, IAVA remediation, STIG compliance, and vulnerability mitigation.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Active Secret Security Clearance required.
• Current Security+ certification required.

Pay

Salary Range: $95,000-$100,000 depending on experience

Schedule

Ability to work an afternoon/evening shift, Tuesday through Saturday.
