BI&A is seeking a Windows Cloud Engineer who designs, implements, and manages Windows-based cloud infrastructure and services across public, private, and hybrid cloud environments. The role is responsible for architecting scalable Windows solutions in cloud platforms, ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance of Windows workloads.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage Windows-based cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Architect scalable Windows solutions in cloud platforms.
  • Ensure high availability, security, and optimal performance of Windows workloads.

Requirements

  • 8 years of experience in Cloud Engineering roles or a highly related field with similar scope and responsibilities.
  • A Bachelor’s degree may substitute for 4 years of experience; a Master’s degree may substitute for 6 years of experience.
  • TS/SCI with an active CI Polygraph.
  • Expert knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022).
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure services and architecture.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and identity management.
  • Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, load balancing).
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMware).
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes on Windows).
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools (ARM, Terraform, Bicep).
  • Willingness and ability to work flexible schedules, including potential shift work.

Qualifications

  • Microsoft certifications (Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, Windows Server).
  • AWS or GCP certifications for Windows workloads.
  • Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) or Citrix.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Datadog, Splunk).
  • Understanding of compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA).
  • Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

Pay

Pay range is $104,000 - $126,000, contingent upon candidate experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations. The position is contingent upon program award.

Schedule

Telework/remote work is currently not authorized. Work location is Annapolis Junction, MD, with potential flexible schedules, including shift work.
