About The Role

At The Shade Store, we are seeking a Window Treatment Installer Assistant to join our team. We are a company with over 75 years of experience in crafting the finest Shades, Blinds, and Drapery. Our mission is to make the design of beautiful custom window treatments an effortless experience, providing exceptional services throughout the entire process.

Position Responsibilities

  • Aid in measuring and installing drapery, wooden blinds, Roman shades, and complex motorization projects.
  • Protect the work site using drop cloths and furniture moving pads.
  • Clean up the job site and perform necessary tasks such as setting up ladders for tall installations.
  • Become proficient in The Shade Store's Measure and Install techniques and software systems.
  • Communicate effectively with Measure & Install support teams during fieldwork.
  • Provide excellent customer service to both The Shade Store customers and retailer affiliates.
  • Develop and implement solutions to challenges and obstacles encountered during installation.
  • Prepare installed products to enhance their appearance.
  • Report any product-related issues immediately to allow for prompt resolution.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent; a technical/vocational school degree is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurability.
  • Experience with high-end installation, finish work, or a skilled trade.
  • Customer service or in-home service experience.
  • Enthusiasm, energy, and ability to provide top-notch service to all customers.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Self-starter, quick learner, and team player.
  • Punctuality, reliability, and high integrity.
  • Basic to advanced technology proficiency with computers, mobile devices, and tablets.
  • Able to lift a minimum of 55 pounds and climb up to 26' ladders.
  • Assist with site cleanup and van drop-off for maintenance.
