Wind Turbine Technician I-Industrial Services

In this role, you'll play an important part in supporting the construction, mechanical, and industrial projects that help power the wind energy industry. Flexibility is key in this role, as the position requires travel and out-of-town work, with the possibility of working extended hours, weekends, holidays, and occasionally night shifts. Provide labor for various wind, facilities construction, industrial, and mechanical projectsLearn to operate basic machinery such as a man-lift, scissor lift, fork-lift, etc.Assist in the installation of wind turbines, including the assembly of components such as blades, nacelles, and towers Perform routine maintenance to ensure the turbines are operating efficiently to include lubrication, filter changes, and checking for wear and tear on componentsLearn to read blueprints and specifications to determine job requirements Working Conditions Sit, talk, hear, read, and write Regularly walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and armsLift and/or move up to 50 poundsPerform duties on-site at industrial and commercial locationsWork in extreme temperature conditions and environmentsPerform work at a variety of heights0-2 years of basic construction and/or mechanical experience preferred Possesses a mechanical aptitude with prior experience in commercial/industrial mechanical fields preferredValid driver’s license preferredExperience using basic hand toolsAbility to accurately read a tape measureComfortable with working at heights required WE ARE NOW EMPLOYEE OWNED Employees are beneficial owners through an ESOP (Employee Stock Option Plan) that works through a qualified retirement plan.
