Wind Turbine Technician

About the role

Climb and service utility-scale wind turbines across an offshore array, performing scheduled gearbox inspections, blade pitch calibration, yaw drive lubrication, and hydraulic brake maintenance at height.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot pitch and converter faults from the nacelle
• Torque foundation bolts to specification
• Replace worn slip rings and filters
• Document every work order in the asset management system
• Perform planned preventive maintenance and respond to unplanned call-outs when the SCADA system flags an alarm
• Coordinate lifts and isolations with the control room before any work begins

Requirements

• GWO Working at Heights certification
• GWO Sea Survival certification
• Rope-access proficiency
• Offshore medical clearance
• Comfort working ninety meters above open water in changing weather

Schedule

Two-week rotations crewed from a service operations vessel.
