Duties and responsibilities
- Perform and complete tasks in a timely manner as agreed upon with your supervisor.
- Perform mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic component maintenance and repair under supervision as needed.
- Participate in toolbox talks and JSA.
- Assist with preventive maintenance, daily operations, & large component replacement.
- Complete required and accurate documentation associated with corrective and preventive maintenance of wind turbines and associated equipment; maintain records of documentation.
- Assist with troubleshooting components and equipment.
- Utilize appropriate safety gear, protective equipment, and control or dissipation of energy sources to ensure work is performed in a safe manner.
- Properly maintain tools and equipment used to perform assigned maintenance/installation assignments.
Qualifications
- Experience using basic power tools.
- Valid driver's license.
- Basic wind technician certificates. (GWO BST, BTT, Confined Space Awareness, NFPA70E, Rigging and Signaling, OSHA 10)
- Required certifications must be valid throughout the entirety of the project.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent Some wind experience or certification from an accredited training facility. Willingness to learn and the ability to be coached.
- Ability to make decisions and act when time or customer pressures are apparent.
