Wind Millwright - Leaning Juniper 2B Repower Wind Project

About the role

Mortenson is currently seeking a millwright for the Leaning Juniper 2B Repower Wind Project located in Arlington, OR 97812.

Responsibilities

• Receive and offload major components
• Install loose components for nacelle, hub, and tower preparation
• Connect blades to hub
• Set base and tower sections
• Handle taglines
• Assist with main erection crane assembly and teardown
• Climb ladders (average 80m)
• Drill and/or tap holes on turbines, generators, compressors, and pumps
• Torque/tension bolted connections
• Build relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum one (1) year of related experience
• Current driver’s license
• Ability to read and interpret safety regulations, assembly/disassembly, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Strong teamwork orientation with a positive attitude and professional customer service skills
• Detail-oriented with active listening and effective communication skills
• Open to diverse input and feedback
• Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs
