Wind Drivetrain Technician
About the role
The Wind Drivetrain Technician performs up-tower drivetrain repairs and mechanical upgrades on wind turbines. The technician must identify issues and complete repairs safely in the field.
Responsibilities
- Main responsibilities include gearbox repairs, bearing replacements, generator work, drivetrain disassembly and reassembly, and commissioning-related support, with 100% travel required.
Qualifications
- Valid GWO, BST, ART, and BTT certifications
- Experience with wind turbine gearboxes, including Winergy, Nanjing, ZF, or equivalent
- High School Diploma or GED
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Valid driver's license (required to operate company vehicles)
- Willingness to travel 100%

Pay
We estimate the base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon qualifications, to be $26/hour to $40/hour.
