Winchester - Materials Operator-Truck/Semi Driver (Transportation)

Location: East Alton, IL

Pay

$35.28 / hour

Schedule

Current schedule is straight split shift (11:42 a.m. to 7:42 p.m.)

Responsibilities

• Operate a semi-tractor to hook up and transport trailers between designated work zones.
• Inspect trailers, semi-tractors, and forklifts to ensure safe and compliant operation.
• Operate a forklift to load and stage materials.
• Transport skids, pallets, tubs, and various containers throughout the facility.
• Ensure all customer shipping requirements are accurately followed and executed.
• Perform required quality checks to support product and shipment accuracy.
• Adhere to all safety requirements, including lockout/tagout procedures and the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Minimum of three years of recent related work experience; experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred.
• Valid CDL Class A license with Hazmat Endorsement.
• Ability to operate a powered industrial truck using gas and brake pedals.
• Forklift experience.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness and ability to work in outdoor weather conditions and extreme temperatures.
• Flexibility to work alternative schedules, weekends, and forced overtime as needed.

Location-Specific Requirements

• This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
• This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
