About the role

Williams Electric, a division of RW Warner, is a full-service commercial electrical contractor providing expert electrical solutions throughout Western Maryland and nearby areas of Virginia and West Virginia. The team delivers comprehensive electrical design, installation, and maintenance services across commercial and industrial projects, emphasizing safety, reliability, and quality workmanship. With certified electricians and a strong commitment to collaboration with general contractors and other trades, Williams Electric supports everything from full-scale new construction and system upgrades to lighting, power distribution, backup power, and emergency services.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the point of contact for the general contractor’s field superintendent.
  • Possess complete knowledge of all drawings, specifications, construction schedules, electrical equipment submittals, and mechanical equipment submittals.
  • Perform installations, alterations, additions, and/or repairs of electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials and equipment within the commercial and industrial electrical industry.
  • Manage and train all electrical jobsite field personnel.
  • Perform all electrical tasks including reading and accurately interpreting construction electrical drawings, terminating cables, and installing and troubleshooting control wiring from drawings.
  • Demonstrate safe work habits and proper care for tools and equipment.
  • Establish and maintain a safe workplace for all employees onsite.
  • Oversee the complete field execution of the construction and performance of the electrical contract work.
  • Track jobsite materials and tools.
  • Schedule and conduct all jobsite inspections, testing, and owner training.
  • Promote company reputation and maintain an optimistic outlook and positive attitude to provide the best service to clients.

Requirements

  • Any combination of at least 5 years of work and training experience in a leadership role in the commercial construction industry and a minimum of one year of experience as a commercial electrical supervisor.
  • Basic computer knowledge; ability to navigate Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and Procore is a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership, dependability, and support for company policies.
  • Strong technical aptitude with advanced electrical skills.
  • Ability to read architectural, structural, and mechanical construction plans.
  • Attention to detail to follow instructions and delegate from plans and supervisors.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple tasks under strict deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and a team participant.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop positive relationships with clients, owners, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.

Pay

$30–$40 per hour, negotiable based on experience.
