About the Role
We are looking for a Will Call Specialist to join our Rexel USA team in Carrollton, TX. The Will Call Specialist is responsible for picking and processing orders for customer/branch will call, small package, and freight outs, including handling all processing of orders, paperwork, and procedures as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Behave consistently with the Company's Core Competencies, Policies, Procedures, and focus on safety
- Utilize RF (Radio Frequency) hand-held devices and printer during the picking process
- Perform daily machine checklists and operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently
- Efficiently and accurately pick, label, and stage orders for customer/branch will call, small packages, and freight out orders
- Properly handle, move, stack, and/or pack various types of merchandise for pickup or shipment
- Ensure products are free of damage
- Carry or transport orders to will call or small package staging areas using material handling equipment as needed
- Accurately process all small package shipments
- Collect all will call paperwork and signatures
- Interact with customers and branch drivers in a polite and professional manner
- Properly use and understand all computer programs and hardware necessary for job tasks
- Report any damage to electronic hardware, material handling equipment, or the Distribution Center immediately to a Supervisor
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 1+ years of customer service, distribution center, or similar experience
- High School diploma or GED (required)
- Certification to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment (preferred)
Skills
- Customer-oriented with excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to exhibit a positive, friendly, and helpful attitude with customers and be sensitive to their needs
- Excellent computer skills, including demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office (Excel), automated order entry systems, and other internet-based tools
- Product knowledge (a plus)
- Warehouse Management System (WMS), AS/400, or other systems knowledge (a plus)
- Good work approach and flexibility in assigned job functions
- Ability to work in a team environment and be self-motivated
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to read and understand RF scanning devices
- Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
- Ability to work overtime
