About the Role

We're looking for wildlife and habitat conservation scientists to help shape the future of AI — specifically how it reasons about biodiversity, ecosystems, and conservation strategy. Your field expertise will directly influence how AI systems understand and communicate one of the most important topics of our time.

What You'll Do

  • Review and evaluate AI-generated wildlife and habitat conservation scenarios for scientific accuracy
  • Assess the quality of ecological reasoning, conservation strategies, and biodiversity analysis produced by AI
  • Identify unrealistic assumptions, flawed methodologies, or misapplied conservation concepts
  • Provide clear, structured feedback that improves the ecological validity of AI outputs
  • Work independently and asynchronously — no meetings, no rigid schedules

Who You Are

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in wildlife biology, ecology, or habitat conservation
  • Strong working knowledge of biodiversity principles and ecosystem management
  • Able to critically evaluate applied ecological reasoning presented in written form
  • Comfortable reviewing structured scientific content and providing actionable feedback
  • Self-directed, reliable, and able to meet project deadlines independently

Nice to Have

  • Graduate degree in Ecology, Wildlife Biology, Conservation Science, or a related field
  • Experience with field research or conservation program management
  • Familiarity with AI systems, content evaluation, or annotation workflows

Why Join Us

  • Work on cutting-edge AI projects that have real-world impact on conservation knowledge
  • Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you
  • Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
  • Gain exposure to advanced large language models (LLMs) and how they're trained
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
