WIC Client Coordinator
About the role
The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program is a federally funded nutrition program in Wake County. The Client Services Coordinator - WIC plays a crucial role in supporting clients through various services.
Responsibilities
- Income screening and benefit issuance for WIC clients at multiple locations
- Registering clients for services and conducting interviews
- Accessing and verifying eligibility based on federal and state rules and regulations
- Entering information and data into clients' records
- Answering incoming calls and inquiries about the program
- Scheduling WIC appointments and making referrals to other agencies and services
- Performing special projects and duties as requested
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years of experience in clerical or administrative support work
- Experience working with the WIC Program
- Experience determining eligibility based on income
- Experience with computer data entry
- Experience applying federal policies and regulations
- Fluency in English, with proficiency in Spanish preferred

Pay
The pay range for this position is $24.72 to $27.04 per hour.
Schedule
The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:15 PM, with occasional evening and weekend shifts.

Emergency Service Worker Statement

Employee may also be required to participate in relevant exercises and regular preparedness training.
