Wholesale and Production Assistant

Key Responsibilities
- Respond to emails and maintain positive communication with wholesale accounts
- Auxiliary with vendor applications and follow-ups
- Prepare wholesale and retail orders for shipment (Labeling, packing, organizing, etc)
- Keep digital inventory and product records up to date
- Maintain a production schedule to ensure timely fulfillment of wholesale, online, and retail orders
Food Safety & Compliance
- Learn and follow food safety protocols (training provided)
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and proper sanitization to ensure product consistency and safety
- Help produce and package farm-based food products, and cosmetic goods
- Label products and maintain cleanliness and organization in workspaces
- Operate kitchen and production equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain proper ingredient handling, measuring, mixing, and documentation procedures and follow batch tracking requirements
- Accurately package, label, and seal food and cosmetic products
- Ensure correct weight, portioning, and presentation of all items
- Assist in inventory tracking, stock management, and quality control checks
Lavender Harvest & Processing
- Help with seasonal harvesting of lavender (June-August)
- Process, dry, and prepare lavender buds for food-grade use
- Learn the differences between lavender varieties used in food and wellness
- Other processing responsibilities as needed
Trade Shows, Events, In-Person Retail Guest Experience
- Travel occasionally for pop-ups, local events, and wholesale expos
- Assist with booth setup, customer engagement, and in-person sales
- Gather contact information from leads and follow-up
Requirements
- Must be able to lift 20+ lbs and work in a physically active production environment
- Willingness to sign a confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement (NDA) to protect proprietary recipes and processes
- Experience in food production, cosmetic manufacturing, or a related field (preferred but not required)
- Knowledge of food safety guidelines, GMP, and FDA regulations (preferred)
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on consistency and quality control
- Able to follow recipes and precise measurements with accuracy
- Reliable, hardworking, and a team player
- Passionate about natural products, sustainability, and small-batch production
- Motivated to learn and enjoy being part of a collaborative team
- Enjoy working both indoors and outdoors
- Comfortable using email and basic digital tools (training available)
- Can lift 40 lbs and work on your feet as needed
- Available for occasional weekends or light travel
