ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain all molds, fixtures, and dies used in production.
- Evaluate all said tooling and report to engineering on possible damage or excessive wear.
- Aid production in setup of molds and machinery.
- Provide troubleshooting assistance for production.
- Perform basic maintenance of molding machines, including liquid silicone molding machine.
- Aid in engineering team R&D activities.
- Aid in mold validation activities.
- Document mold change and machine adjustments including troubleshooting and equipment maintenance.
- Makes effective technical decisions and communicates them to Engineering, Production, and management to support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Work with production personnel to ensure molded components meet requirements and make adjustments as needed.
- Generate documentation on mold runs for traceability and reproducibility.
- Work with Quality and manufacturing departments to ensure the quality of production and products produced meet company standards.
- Follow established procedures to maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Ensure safe working practices are followed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Previous manufacturing or machining experience preferred.
- Plastic injection molding experience a plus.
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills required.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
