The Whey Packaging Tech Operator ensures our products meet Tillamook’s high standards by operating and maintaining whey bagging equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain powder storage bins, powder transfer lines, hoppers, bulk bagging equipment, metal detection equipment, ink jets, palletizer, and stretch wrapping equipment.
• Collect samples of product for performance analysis.
• Comply with GMP, HACCP, Safety rules, and other company operating requirements.
• Clean and sanitize systems following the Master Sanitation Schedule.
• Perform routine maintenance on the bagging system.
• Troubleshoot and solve processing problems during operation.
• Ensure all records are accurate and up to date.
• Maintain the bagging areas in a safe, sanitary, and efficient working order.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 0-3 years’ experience in the food industry preferred; whey plant experience desired.
• Computer literate with basic knowledge of Microsoft Word; knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., NAV) is preferred.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with co-workers and supervisors.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation.
• Demonstrated strong work ethic.
