Responsibilities
- Respond to operation and dispatch requests.
- Use necessary tools, maps and addresses to efficiently transport customers.
- Clearly document trip information details and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a safe and clean vehicle environment for patients.
- Complete the regular mechanical checklist at the start of shifts and report any vehicle issues.
- Use appropriate communication methods including standard radio transmission codes.
- Operate transportation equipment including stretcher, hydraulic lift, wheelchair.
- Manage disposal of supplies as necessary.
- Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel.
Requirements
- State Driver’s License
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- CPR card
- Driving record in compliance with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of work experience, preferably in healthcare.
Skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to operate specialized transportation equipment
