About The Role
As a Seating Technician at Numotion, you will be a key player in the assembly, delivery, and fitting of Complex Rehabilitation Technology (CRT) equipment. This role supports the Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) and directly contributes to fulfilling Numotion's vision of delivering life-changing mobility products and services. You will work closely with clients to ensure their mobility needs and functional goals are met while maintaining high standards of customer service. Candidates should be prepared to travel extensively—up to 75% of the time—to client locations, care facilities, and other sites within the assigned service area.
Responsibilities
- Support the ATP team with equipment assembly and delivery, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standard of quality.
- Assemble and fit CRT equipment, including manual and power wheelchairs and other assistive technologies, ensuring client goals are met with minimal oversight.
- Deliver equipment to clients at various locations, including homes, hospitals, and care facilities.
- Assess product issues in the field and collaborate with the ATP for effective solutions; identify mechanical or functional problems and take corrective action.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop and warehouse; ensure tools, parts, and equipment are properly stored.
- Keep delivery vehicles clean and in safe working order; conduct routine checks and report maintenance needs promptly.
- Assist in maintaining strong relationships with existing business accounts; represent Numotion professionally during all client interactions.
- Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner, including delivery confirmations, service records, and client interaction logs.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations, including proper lifting techniques, safe driving practices, and infection control protocols.
- Attend required company training and development sessions to stay current with product knowledge and industry standards.
- Work closely with ATPs and customers to ensure equipment solutions align with client needs and prescribed specifications.
- Provide outstanding customer service, addressing concerns promptly and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the process.
- Quickly address customer concerns during deliveries or fittings, seeking guidance from the ATP as needed.
- Utilize Numotion Leadership Principles to maintain integrity, compliance, and company values in every aspect of the role.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in all employee and customer matters, complying with HIPAA and other privacy regulations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of one year of related mechanical or electrical experience preferred.
- Valid State Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record; ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude for equipment troubleshooting and repair.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a field-based environment.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to assess and resolve equipment issues in real time.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
- General knowledge of Complex Rehabilitation Technology (CRT) products is preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and openness to identifying opportunities for process enhancements.
- Proficiency in completing accurate documentation and compliance-related paperwork.

Qualifications
- Prior experience in equipment assembly, delivery, or technical service roles is highly desirable.
- Experience working in a customer-facing or client service role, preferably in healthcare or medical equipment.
- Experience supporting or working alongside healthcare professionals such as ATPs, occupational therapists, or physical therapists is a plus.
- Familiarity with CRT products such as manual wheelchairs, power wheelchairs, and seating and positioning systems is preferred.
- Experience maintaining accurate records and completing compliance documentation in a regulated industry is beneficial.
- Prior experience working in a warehouse, shop, or field service environment with responsibility for maintaining workspace cleanliness and organization.
- Experience adhering to safety protocols and regulations in a technical or healthcare-related work environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage travel-intensive work schedules, with comfort traveling up to 75% of the time within the assigned service area.
