About the role

We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Wheelchair Agent to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will provide essential wheelchair and passenger assistance at busy transportation hubs, ensuring a positive experience for travelers with mobility needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist passengers with wheelchair mobility and boarding procedures, ensuring comfort and safety throughout their journey
  • Assist passengers at ticket counters to ensure they are properly checked in
  • Read airline tickets, monitors, various domestic and international forms, and airline city codes
  • Transport passengers to connecting flights operated by different carriers
  • Maintain professional appearance and manners with passengers and airport personnel
  • Stand, squat, kneel, and walk 70% or more of the scheduled work time
  • Maintain customer service professionalism under pressure and in stressful environments
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

  • Previous customer service experience
  • Strong knowledge of wheelchair assistance and shared mobility systems
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on managing customer expectations and handling inquiries effectively
  • Professional appearance and adherence to company grooming/uniform policy
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, holidays, and weekends, and report to work regularly and on time
  • Flexibility to work additional hours beyond the regular shift on short notice, as needed during irregular operations
  • Must be able to pass all prerequisites to obtain an airport badge
  • Ability to speak and be understood, hear, and comprehend the English language
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift approximately 70 pounds
  • Ability to relocate in the event of an emergency
  • Neat and professional appearance

Work Environment

Pay

$14 hourly

Schedule

Open availability needed including weekends, holidays, and weekdays.
