About the Role
As the Wheel Refurbishing Technician, you will perform refurbishing of commercial truck wheels in a Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service Centers facility through manual and automated processes. This position does not require experience, and the company will provide training in required skills.
Responsibilities
- Learn and perform the wheel refurbishing process, including:
- Steam cleaning wheels to remove foreign materials
- Shot blasting product to remove rust and paint
- Inspecting product for unsafe conditions
- Approve or disapprove product completion
- Paint product with special paint and color for customer
- Maintain proper control of inventory to ensure customer receives correct product
- Maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and 90-day maintenance schedules and logbooks
- Provide "Service Excellence – Always" to meet service goals
- Comply with all safety and liability guidelines, including using protective safety equipment
- Perform manual tasks for extended periods, including light and heavy lifting, standing, bending, and squatting
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- No relocation is offered for this position
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing experience, including shot blasting and painting
- High School Diploma or GED

- Able to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced team environment
- Self-starter willing to take initiative and work without direct supervision
- Willing to attend appropriate training sessions
Pay
Starting pay: $21.50 hourly, plus overtime, with weekly pay.
