WhatsApp Community Moderators

About the role

Our WhatsApp community is a lifeline for motherless mothers. With so many chats, we rely on moderators to quietly help us keep the space safe. You don’t need to be active or respond — just an extra pair of eyes to help us spot anything that doesn’t belong.

Responsibilities

• Join multiple chats as a silent observer
• Watch for spam, inappropriate content or suspicious links
• Flag advertising, promotion, journalists or researchers
• Flag medical advice, treatments, drugs or research requests
• Flag hostile or upsetting conversations
• Remove members who clearly break guidelines or are ineligible
• Welcome new members in the Welcome / Get in Touch chat
• Gently redirect new members to relevant groups
• Ask the team if unsure — no pressure
