Soccer Shots Pittsburgh is hiring coaches to work with children ages 2-8. The company aims to positively impact children's lives and provide a remarkable experience for their families through best-in-class coaching, communication, and curriculum.
Responsibilities
- Work with children ages 2-8
- Lead and interact with groups of up to ten children
- Follow detailed Soccer Shots lesson plans
- Use provided soccer equipment
- Work flexible schedules including weekday mornings, after-school hours, weeknights, and weekend mornings
- Occasionally work as a substitute Head Coach
Requirements
- Reliable and committed to your set schedule for each season
- Responsible: arrives at least 20 minutes early, prepared with lesson plan, keeps accurate attendance, communicates well with leadership
- Professional: neat appearance, friendly and courteous, self-assured and confident
- Enthusiastic: enjoys interacting with young children, outgoing, animated, able to be silly with children
- Experience with young children: able to easily engage and interact with a group of up to ten 2-8 year olds
- Self-sufficient, communicative, and responsive: good communication and feedback necessary, ability to initiate conversations and ask for help when needed
- Reliable personal transportation and valid driver's license
- Ability to run, stop, stoop, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform tasks in a gymnasium-like environment
- Able to perform other duties as requested
Qualifications
Most important is comfort leading and interacting with groups of up to ten children, ages 2-8. No prior soccer experience is required, but experience is a plus.

Benefits
Seasonal in-person staff trainings at the office are required and will be announced in advance.
Pay
Compensation is $18/ 30 to 45-minute session for Head Coaches and $10/ 30 to 45-minute session for Alternate Coaches / Coaches-in-training. An initial, paid training period as an Alternate Coach / Coach-in-Training is typical before promotion to Head Coach.
Schedule
The position operates year-round with winter, spring, summer, fall, and fall 2.0 seasons, each lasting 8 to 11 weeks. Potential scheduling blocks include weekday mornings, after-school hours, weeknights, and weekend mornings.
