Wet Clean Process Development Engineer

About the role
The Fab Engineering New Technology team at Samsung Austin Semiconductor comprises engineers from various Fab engineering units that support NTI strategic initiatives for the company. In this role, Engineers complement our Process Integration engineering team to develop, strengthen, and ultimately qualify processes that provide solutions for our customer's critical needs. You will be responsible for production qualification of new processes including idea proposal, experimental execution, and data analysis. Our team ensures new processes can meet high quality and robust manufacturability needed to support high-volume semiconductor foundry manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Engineering solutions for cleans and wet-etch processes under production development and qualification
- Process uniformity improvements
- Defect improvements
- Process optimization for manufacturing
- Process margin evaluation
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of engineering experience in semiconductor manufacturing or process development with an emphasis on Cleans and Wet Etch processes
- Extensive knowledge of process fundamentals and volume manufacturing challenges
- Track record of continuous improvement in Cleans/Wets engineering processes
- Prior experience with DNS SU3XXX model is strongly desired
- Strong data analysis skills
- Capability to convey complex engineering concepts clearly to non-expert audiences
- Access to information subject to U.S. export control laws; applicants must be authorized or eligible for government authorization
Pay
The current base salary range for this role is between $109,050 - $212,650. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications, and experience. Total compensation includes a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs based on organizational and individual performance.
