About the Role
Join the Yelp Customer Success team as an Inbound Sales Retention Specialist to deliver a 5-star experience to our small business advertisers. In this role, you will support, consult, and retain advertisers post-sale. We encourage applications from candidates who may not meet every requirement but demonstrate strong potential.
Responsibilities
- Strengthen Yelp’s revenue retention by providing exceptional and timely customer support.
- Handle inbound phone calls, consulting and educating current Yelp advertisers.
- Demonstrate the value of Yelp by showcasing ad performance metrics and investment returns to clients.
- Use strong listening and conflict resolution skills to manage escalated client situations.
- Become an expert in Yelp’s advertising solutions, adapting recommendations to suit client needs through probing questions and objection handling.
- Exhibit strong communication skills, both externally with clients and internally with Yelp employees.
- Maintain organization and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
- Consistently achieve or exceed monthly goals.
- Utilize Chatbench, Yelp’s internal LLM tool, to research, draft proposals, analyze data, and overcome objections.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or 3+ years of relevant client-facing experience.
- Technical proficiency with computers and information systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Experience in account management, sales, advertising, or small business (preferred).
- Passion for local businesses and understanding of their role in local economies.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to track and complete numerous details.
- Ability to handle tough conversations with business owners professionally and solution-oriented.
- Balance consulting and support as needed.
- Willingness to receive and implement feedback.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Access to an individual hardline high-speed internet connection (satellite internet or mobile hotspots are not sufficient).
Schedule
- Permanent Saturday-Wednesday schedule.
- Weekend hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM PST.
- Weekday hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM in your local timezone.
- Full-time position.
Pay
The base salary for this role is $50,000, with additional performance-based incentives.
