About the Role
Join the Yelp Customer Success team as an Inbound Sales Retention Specialist to deliver a 5-star experience to our small business advertisers. In this role, you’ll support, consult, and retain advertisers post-sale. We encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every requirement—we value great people over checkboxes.
Responsibilities
- Strengthen Yelp’s revenue retention by providing exceptional and timely customer support
- Handle inbound phone calls, consulting and educating current Yelp advertisers
- Demonstrate the value of Yelp by showcasing ad performance metrics and investment returns
- Use strong listening and conflict resolution skills to manage escalated client concerns
- Become an expert in Yelp’s advertising solutions, adapting recommendations to client needs through probing questions and objection handling
- Exhibit strong communication skills with clients and internal teams
- Maintain organization and efficiency in a fast-paced environment
- Consistently achieve or exceed monthly goals
- Use Chatbench, Yelp’s internal LLM tool, to research, draft proposals, analyze data, and overcome objections
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or 3+ years of relevant client-facing experience
- Technical proficiency with computers and information systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Experience in account management, sales, advertising, or small business (preferred)
- Passion for local businesses and understanding of their role in local economies
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with attention to detail
- Ability to handle tough conversations professionally and solution-oriented
- Balance consulting and support as needed
- Willingness to receive and implement feedback
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Access to a hardline high-speed internet connection (no satellite or mobile hotspot)

Pay
The base salary for this role is $50,000, plus performance-based incentives.
