About the role

West Texas Eye Associates is seeking a full-time optometrist to join a busy, established ophthalmology and optometry practice. This position is designed for an optometrist who wants strong medical exposure, meaningful physician mentorship, excellent support, and substantial long-term earning potential.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive eye care with an emphasis on medical optometry
• Contact lens services—including specialty lenses
• Co‑management of surgical patients
• Work closely with ophthalmologists while developing a broad and sophisticated medical optometry skill set

Requirements

• Eligible for Texas optometric licensure
• Expected to obtain the Texas Optometric Glaucoma Specialist (OGS) designation

Qualifications

Clinically motivated, collegial optometrist interested in building a long‑term career in a medically oriented practice. New graduates and experienced optometrists are encouraged to apply.

Pay

• Base salary: $175,000 annually
• Productivity bonus: 25% of receivables above $700,000, with no stated cap
• Expected total compensation: approximately $230,000–$260,000 annually, depending on productivity

• Full‑time, Monday–Friday clinical schedule
• Start date to be mutually agreed upon
