Responsibilities

  • Part of a team performing the structural design of water, wastewater, and storm water conveyance and treatment infrastructure and support buildings.
  • Design of water and wastewater structures with a minimum of 10+ years of experience.
  • Familiarity with associated software and design standards (ACI, AISC, CBC, IBC, AWWA).
  • Development of contract plans, preparation of engineer's estimates and construction specifications.
  • Performing field and office construction support services.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in the design of water and wastewater structures.
  • California Professional Engineer (PE) License required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required.
  • Proven track record and reputation for being highly responsive and delivering quality work.
  • Good verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong leadership qualities and ability to coach and mentor staff.
  • Experience with the following design codes: California Building Code (CBC), American Concrete Institute (ACI) 318 and 350, American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), Concrete Masonry Association of California and Nevada (CMACN), National Design Specification (NDS) Design Values for Wood Construction.

Pay

The projected range for this position is $180,000-$200,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
