West Point VPC Team - Quality Control Inspector

About the role
This Quality Control Inspector's primary responsibility is to conduct thorough vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle quality standards are maintained. This includes auditing the quality of GLOVIS services such as under-body coat applications, vehicle processing operations, PIO part installations, load line processes, export processes, body shop repairs, and rail loading.
Responsibilities
- Perform new vehicle audits
- Audit the quality of all GLOVIS services and detect minor vehicle issues
- Inspect cars using GPQMS Audit App, specialized camera, and/or check sheets
- Properly document inspection results and take pictures of non-conforming items
- Alert Supervisor/Manager of quality concerns immediately
- Provide feedback to resolve compliance issues
- Audit employee compliance with standardized processes, procedures, bulletins, and work instructions
- Assist with creating and monitoring corrective actions and countermeasures
- Provide input on how to correct known issues within various departments
- Assist with the development of audit strategies
- Assist with training new staff on quality inspections
- Assist with development and implementation of audit strategies, audit-related policies, and procedures
- Communicate the status of unresolved quality issues
- Alert Supervisor/Manager of quality concerns found during the inspection process immediately
- Notify Supervisor/Manager if units flagged for defects are not repaired in a timely manner
- Fill in where needed, including, but not limited to, all Tier 1 & 2 positions
- Other duties as assigned

- 1 year of Quality Control/Inspection experience (preferred)
