West Coast Sales Specialist - Marine

Responsibilities

• Expand sales volume and profits within the territory by actively calling on new and existing customers.
• Use effective pre-call planning, market information, scheduling, and maximization of sales opportunities.
• Develop strategic sales plans and forecasts for the territory.
• Identify and pursue additional sales opportunities in current and new product lines.
• Effectively communicate and turnover order details to Customer Service Representatives.
• Prepare and present quotes, proposals, reports, correspondence, and product/industry presentations to customers at all levels.
• Report on weekly sales activities, operations, and forecasting information.
• Ensure timely submission of expense reports.
• Utilize the company CRM to build a database for collection and reporting of all account calls, prospects, activities, objectives, and results.
• Participate in company improvement programs such as strategic planning or continuous improvement initiatives.
• Network in various industry associations and functions.
• Attend training and trade shows as required.
• Plan sales activities/trips to maximize sales coverage and maintain travel expenses within budgets.
• Perform any other duty, task, or responsibility as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license (if operating a vehicle for company purposes).
• Bachelor’s degree or some college preferred.
• Minimum of one-year experience as an outside sales representative selling business to business.
• CRM experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with no more than 2 moving violations within the last 3 years on driving record.
• Overnight travel is required.
• Flexibility to cover a territory with a 250-mile radius and up to 75% overnight travel.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged standing and repetitive motions, including bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
• Good hand-eye coordination, hand dexterity, and physical strength.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds, depending on specific job duties.

Pay

Compensation range: $30,000.00 - $250,000.00. Actual offers depend on factors such as location, experience, skills, and market data. This position may also offer variable compensation.
