About the role

We are looking to strengthen our Technical Publishing team with a working student (m/f/d) to start as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of documents for translation, coordination, and commissioning of translations
• Review of translation deliveries using checklists and AI tools, and communication with translation service providers
• Support in the creation and editing of English-language customer documentation, such as validation documents, release notes, user manuals, and instructions for use for our laboratory equipment, software products, laboratory consumables, and test kits in the fields of in-vitro diagnostics (IVD) and microbiological research
• Expansion and maintenance of our terminology database
• Preparation and structuring of documents and content for use in AI applications
• Maintenance and further development of the editorial guidelines
• Support in the creation and editing of graphics and screenshots

Requirements

• Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program, preferably in Technical Communication, Translation, International Technical Communication, Localization (Software Localization), or a comparable field
• Interest in language, communication, and technical or microbiological topics
• A careful and structured approach to work
• Excellent written and spoken English skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365
• Initial experience with authoring tools (e.g., MadCap Flare), translation management, terminology work, and/or AI tools is advantageous
