About the role
We are looking for new team members, from assistants to personal caregivers, to join our location Sluis-Zicht in Nes aan de Amstel. You will provide structure, warmth, and clarity to clients, assist with daily care, and create activities tailored to their abilities. Together with colleagues, you’ll foster a safe and stimulating environment where clients feel seen and valued.
About the location
Sluis-Zicht is a rural location near Nes aan de Amstel for individuals with a mild intellectual disability (LVB+) or severe emotional/behavioral disorders ((Z)EVB). We focus on creating a normal life for residents by addressing their basic needs through the Triple C methodology, covering self-care, work, and living. As a personal caregiver, you’ll be their safe haven.
Residents have a mild intellectual disability with additional complex (psychiatric) behavioral challenges, such as aggression due to confusion or insecurity.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care and structure to clients.
- Develop and implement activities suited to clients’ abilities.
- Create a safe, stimulating environment where clients feel valued.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including behavioral experts, to deliver the best support.
- Work with clients who have mild intellectual disabilities and complex behavioral challenges.
Schedule
- Positions available for 16 to 36 hours per week.
- Shifts include:
- Morning: 07:00 to 15:00
- Afternoon/Evening: 15:00 to 23:00
- Night shifts (awake or sleeping): 23:00 to 07:00
The location is not accessible by public transport but is reachable by car, scooter, or bicycle.

Requirements
- Completed MBO level 3 or 4 education (e.g., SPW, MMZ) or HBO Social Work.
- Experience with the target group or in care is preferred; affinity is essential.
- Team player who seeks and offers support, with strong reflection skills to learn from challenging situations.
- Curious, approachable, and practical—willing to try new methods while ensuring ideas are feasible.
Benefits
- Salary:
- Assistant: €2,546 to €3,564 gross per month (scale 35, CAO Gehandicaptenzorg).
- Caregiver: €2,836 to €3,825 gross per month (scale 40, CAO Gehandicaptenzorg).
- Irregularity allowance (for non-standard shifts).
- 8% vacation pay and a fixed end-of-year bonus of 8.33%.
- Temporary labor market allowance of 7.5% for roles with the highest care indications (if applicable).
- Quarterly vitality bonus of €250 (prorated) if you are not sick, usable via the Alleo platform for flexible benefits (e.g., sports, groceries, outings).
