Wellness Salon Manager in Training

Responsibilities

• Maintaining salon staff by recruiting, selecting, and orienting employees.
• Achieving sales goals and other performance criteria by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to sales staff, including coaching, counseling, and correcting employees.
• Completing company operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
• Achieving financial objectives through effective monitoring of controllable expenses such as labor, cost of sales, and expenses.
• Maintaining the stability and reputation of the salon by complying with all legal requirements.
• Managing and assigning tasks to ensure the salons are clean, adequately stocked, organized, well-kept, and customer-ready.
• Establishing rapport with customers to build loyalty and long-term relationships.
• Creating a positive, motivating, team-based environment.
• Investigating and resolving customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Analyzing daily sales and expense information and performing financial analyses to maximize sales and net profits.
• Safeguarding and accounting for all money received and being responsible for banking requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven experience in retail/customer service environment.
• Ability to effectively influence others.
• Must be able to stand, bend, and walk for long periods of time, for 7+ hours per day.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds without assistance.
• Reliable transportation and flexible availability, including nights and weekends.

Pay

Earnings range from $10.50 - $15.00+ per hour (base pay + up to 12% commission). Store Managers can earn $19 - $23+ per hour (base pay + up to 12% commission + monthly bonus). Top performers can make even more.
