Wellness Salon Manager in Training

Responsibilities

• Maintain salon staff by recruiting, selecting, and orienting employees.
• Achieve sales goals and other performance criteria by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to sales staff, including coaching, counseling, and correcting employees.
• Complete company operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
• Achieve financial objectives through effective monitoring of controllable expenses such as labor, cost of sales, and expenses.
• Maintain the stability and reputation of the salon by complying with all legal requirements.
• Manage and assign tasks to ensure salons are clean, adequately stocked, organized, well-kept, and customer-ready.
• Establish rapport with customers, building loyalty and long-term relationships.
• Create a positive, motivating, team-based environment.
• Investigate and resolve customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Analyze daily sales and expense information and perform financial analyses to maximize sales and net profits.
• Safeguard and account for all money received and handle banking requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven experience in retail/customer service environment.
• Ability to effectively influence others.
• Must be able to stand, bend, and walk for long periods of time (7+ hours per day).
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds without assistance.
• Reliable transportation and flexible availability, including nights and weekends.

Pay

• Sales Associates: $10.50 - $15.00+ per hour (base pay + up to 12% commission). Top performers can earn even more.
• Store Managers: $19 - $23+ per hour (base pay + up to 12% commission + monthly bonus). Top-performing managers can earn even more.
